Join us to watch four short films, each with a different flavor. Total run time 82 minutes.
Flatland (2007) stars Martin Sheen, Kristin Bell and Michael York. It is based on the 1884 novella, Flatland: A Romance in Many Dimensions, by Edwin A. Abbott, and updated for modern audiences. Set in a two-dimensional land, the inhabitants are geometric shapes. Young Hex is curious about the nature of things, more curious than the authorities like. 36 Minutes.
Era (2009), by Jonathan Whittle-Utter, is also a movie about the nature of things, set a bit closer to the modern day, 1920. Jonathan and Jane are characters in a silent film, and just as Jonathan is about to declare his affection for Jane, his rival, the notorious Magician Antony Crow, shows up. Challenged to show his powers, Crow transports Jonathan and Jane through mysterious regions of time and space, where they are faced with their limitations. 11 Minutes.
