Flat Tire on I-580 in Livermore Inflates Women’s Sense of Hope
A woman wants to thank the mystery Caltrans workers who helped her out of a scary and frustrating situation on the very dangerous highway.
LIVERMORE, CA — A woman whose tire blew out as she was driving on I-580 in Livermore says she wants to thank the two Caltrans workers who helped her. She does not know their names but she does know their random act of kindness helped get her car back on the road home safely.
An East Bay woman who calls herself Apiradee T. said she was driving at about 70 miles per hour on I-580 near the N. Livermore Avenue exit when her tire blew out. Apiradee T. says she was lucky she was able to get across the busy lanes of traffic to the side of the road.
“After trying to change the tire by myself for a while,” Apiradee T. said. “These two men from Caltrans stopped by and help me out to replace the tire with the spare tire.”
