It is free to visit the haunted house but the hosts ask guests to bring canned food to donate.

LIVERMORE, CA — They say every neighborhood has that one creepy house no one dares to walk past and the Frightmare Home Haunt in Livermore qualifies as one of them. Brave souls and adrenaline junkies can get their annual fear fix while also giving back to those in need when they visit Frightmare this year.

The popular haunted house will open on Oct. 27 and 28 between 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. On Halloween, the house will be open between 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Those who attend are encouraged to bring canned food to donate to the Open Heart Kitchen, which helps feed those in need in the Tri-Valley community.

Proprietors said a special ‘Lights on Tour’ is scheduled for those who are scared of things that go bump in the night.
