Groundbreaking Ceremony For Veterans Way In Livermore
Construction of the street will be completed in 2019.

LIVERMORE, CA — The community is invited to attend a groundbreaking ceremony for the new east/west street in downtown Livermore this Friday. A presentation of the street sign depicting the name, Veterans Way, in honor of the veteran community and the countless contributions veterans have made to ensure the safety and well-being of all, will be held on Nov. 2 at 3:45 p.m., according to cit officials.
The ceremony will take place on South L Street between Railroad Avenue and First Street.
“Veterans Way will be a two-way street running from South Livermore Avenue to South L Street,” city officials said in a statement. “It will provide diagonal parking and convenient access to nearby amenities, including businesses and the future Stockmen's Park.”
