LIVERMORE, CA —Registration is open for the 2026 Hike for Hope, which will take place Saturday, May 9 at Del Valle Regional Park in Livermore. The hike is a large annual fundraiser for Hope Hospice and Health Services, which provides end-of-life care and support to patients and caregivers. Money raised will help provide grief support, dementia education, and family caregiver resources to the public at no extra charge. In 2024, hikers helped raise over $100,000 for the cause, and over 600 people participated in 2025.

“More than ever, families are seeking hospice care they can trust that puts people before profit. As an independent non-profit agency, Hope Hospice’s top priority is care excellence and answering first and foremost to the patients and families we serve,” stated Anthony Lupian LCSW, Senior Vice President of By the Bay Health’s South Care region, which includes Hope Hospice. “Community generosity through events like Hike for Hope helps sustain our mission, so we are grateful to each and every person who shows up for this in support of a great cause.”

The hike will be a 2.6-mile out-and-back loop along the East Shore Trail, with an optional moderate loop to arrive at a scenic overlook.
