Hope Hospice Caregiver Education Series on Medicare
Medicare: An overview and update

Medicare, the federal health insurance plan for people 65+ and those with disabilities doesn’t have to be confusing. To help family caregivers who are trying to make sense of all the options available, Hope Hospice presents, Medicare: An overview and update, on Saturday, November 10, from 9:45 a.m. to noon. This class is offered by Hope Hospice as part of its Family Caregiver Education Series.
Katy Brady, MPH, CSA, from Alameda County’s Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HIPCAP), will share information about coverage, options for supplementing Medicare, consumer rights and protections, changes for 2019, hospital and skilled nursing facility rights, and detecting and reporting fraud and abuse.
Any community member engaged in the role of family caregiver or expecting to soon become a caregiver is invited to attend these classes. Classes are held at Hope Hospice, 6377 Clark Avenue, Suite 100, Dublin (2nd floor conference room). Light refreshments will be served. Register online at HopeHospice.com or contact Hope Hospice Community Health Educator Debbie Emerson at debe@hopehospice.com.
