Fire At Livermore Equestrian Center: All Horses Saved

​Two people were transported to a hospital as a precautionary measure, but there were no other reports of injuries to people or animals.

LIVERMORE, CA — All horses at Horizons East Equestrian Center are safe after a fire broke out at the facility Sunday. The blaze was reported around 3:13 a.m. at the family owned and operated stable located at 5111 Doolan Road. According to the Alameda County Fire Department, the blaze was contained to a 30-foot semi-permanent live-in trailer that was completely destroyed in the flames.

Two people were transported to a local hospital as a precautionary measure for smoke inhalation, but there were no other reports of injuries to fire personnel or animals, according to the ACFD. A total of four people were displaced by the blaze and all are receiving assistance from the Red Cross, the ACFD reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Horizons East Equestrian Center has been in operation for over 25 years and specializes in hunter/jumper horses and riders, according to its website.
