Kitchen Fire Causes $200,000 Worth Of Damage To Livermore Home

One firefighter suffered a minor injury while battling the blaze.

LIVERMORE, CA — A fire reported in a Livermore home early Thursday morning started in the kitchen and spread to the attic causing smoke damage, fire officials said. The blaze was reported in 900 block of Dublin Avenue by citizens in the area at about 8:35 a.m. The resident, who is now displaced, was not home when the fire erupted.

Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department crews extinguished the flames just before 9 a.m. One firefighter suffered a minor injury while battling the blaze. The exact cause of the fire is not known and officials estimate the damage at about $200,000.
