LIVERMORE, CA — With the official start of summer just around the corner, and triple-digit temperatures already baking Livermore, the city is reminding residents that citizens who may not have air conditioning at home are welcome to get relief from the heat at any community facility. The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat advisory for Alameda County for Monday, and temperatures will hover just under the 100-degree mark on Tuesday, according to the NWS. To prevent heat illness, drink lots of water to stay hydrated, stay out of the sun, and be in air-conditioned rooms as much as possible.
