Traditional 4-year colleges and universities may not be the best choice for every student – but there are options! Local high school students and parents are invited to attend an informational presentation to explore alternatives to 4-year schools. Hear from:

  • Las Positas College reps, Jill Oliveira and Vicki Shipman, as they explain about Extended Opportunity Programs & Services and technical / vocational training.
  • Two reps from local apprentice programs: Byron Benton from Zero Net Energy Electrical Training Facility in San Leandro and Julia Dozier from Training and Development Solutions, Chabot-Las Positas Community College District.
  • Pedrozzi Scholarship Foundation will offer information about scholarships they have available for local students who opt for non-traditional post high school opportunities.

Sponsored by the Livermore Public Library and the Pedrozzi Scholarship Foundation.
