Las Positas College Invites Tri-Valley To Career Exploration Open House
Great opportunity for students, parents or those contemplating career change to hear of the degree programs offered at Livermore campus.
LIVERMORE, CA – Las Positas College is hosting a Career Exploration Open House from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3 open to community residents to learn of the school's career and transfer programs and visit with faculty and students.
Campus tours begin at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. and start at the Student Services & Administration Building Patio, Building 1600, near Parking Lot C, where guests can also get information and a campus map.
"We expect to see a wide range of visitors, from high school and middle school students and their parents to professionals interested in advancing their careers," said Career and Technical Education Project Manager Vicki Shipman.

Represented programs will include Applied Photography, Automotive Technology, Biological Sciences, Business Studies, Computer Studies, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Interior Design, Mass Communications, Theater Arts, Visual Communications/Graphic Design, Viticulture and Winery Technology and Welding Technology.
On the same day, a Public Safety career fair will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Quad will feature the following programs: Administration of Justice; Paramedic/Emergency Medical Services; and Fire Service Technology. Program vehicles will be on display and visitors can discuss careers with faculty, students, alumni and representatives from area public safety agencies.

Representatives from student clubs will be available in the Quad and there will be music and prize drawings. Parking is free. The cafeteria will be open.
