The Livermore Aquacowboys Compete at the 66th Husky Invitational
LAC achieves great swims in Washington

The Livermore Aquacowboys (LAC) sent 11 swimmers to the 66th Annual Husky Invitational in Federal Way, Washington, Dec.5-7. Jacqueline Arnold, Claire Boom, Jenna Chew, Megan Fairbanks, Celine Nguyen, Dante Demayo, Ryan Eckles, Michael Eckles, Alex Gonzalez, Matthew Hayes, and Addison Mclaggan competed at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center against 55 other USA club and NCAA Div II and III collegiate teams. LAC came away with new best times for every swimmer and several swimmers qualified in finals each night scoring points towards LAC’s overall top 30 finish. Qualifying finals was very competitive with upwards of 105 swimmers per event. Claire finished 6th in the 1650 free, 10th in the 200 back and 10th in the 400 IM; Celine finished 11th in the 200 breaststroke; Alex finished 11th in the 200 back; Jacqueline finished 25th in 200 breaststroke; Matthew finished 26th in the 200 back; and Addison finished 21st in the 200 breaststroke. Ryan achieved his best 50 free (22.42); Dante best 100 fly (53.65), Michael best 50 free (23.37); Matthew best 500 free (4:58.70); Alex best 200IM (2:03.47). LAC also had several great relay finishes with the women’s 400 free team of Claire, Megan, Celine and Jenna finishing 19th overall.
