Livermore Brewery Fundraiser Pays Homage To Police, Fire

The Shadow Puppet Brewery Company plans to donate the proceeds from the event to the Livermore K-9 Foundation.

LIVERMORE, CA — A fundraiser at a Livermore brewery in February will pay homage to local first responders and their families. This is the second year Shadow Puppet Brewery Company will host the first responders and military appreciation event, which will feature a barbecue, music and police displays. Proceeds will benefit the Livermore K-9 Foundation.

In preparation for the Tri-Valley fundraiser, Livermore Mayor John Marchand and Dublin Mayor David Haubert recently joined Brewmaster Craig Danielson to help brew up a special batch of suds for the event. Owner Brian Blackburn said the brewery will serve "Thin Blueberry Line" wheat ale, which gives a nod to law enforcement's "thin blue line" and to honor firefighters, they will brew a special smoked amber ale aptly named "Embers."

The fundraiser, which is open to the public, will be held on February 3 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Shadow Puppet Brewery Company is located at 4771 Arroyo Vista Ste. B in Livermore.
