Livermore College Student Needs Her Textbooks, Laptop Back for Finals

Katherine Morgan's window was smashed while parked in the crowded Applebee's parking lot on June 2.

This week is finals week for many college students in the East Bay but one Livermore student may fail her finals after her backpack, laptop and textbooks were stolen from inside her car last week.

Katherine Morgan told Patch she is a full-time student at Cal State East Bay. She says her car was burglarized when the rear passenger window was smashed on June 2 while parked at the crowded Applebee’s parking lot.

“My car was broken into in the Applebee’s parking lot in North Livermore last night and my backpack was taken,” Morgan said. “Inside my backpack I had various items like pens and a water bottle, but more importantly, I had several expensive textbooks, a notebook full of notes, and my laptop. I am a full-time student taking 21 units this quarter at Cal State East Bay, and I am entering finals week this coming week. These items are crucial to me doing well.”
