Livermore Cyclery Closing This Month In Livermore, Dublin, Alamo
Livermore Cyclery served the Tri-Valley for 44 years. Trek Bicycle will take over its Livermore, Dublin and Alamo locations.

LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore Cyclery announced plans to close its doors in Livermore, Dublin and Alamo after 44 years of service to Tri-Valley customers. Three Trek Bicycle stores will open in their places on Feb. 22.
"Without the great people who have inhabited the walls of Livermore Cyclery in Livermore, Dublin and Alamo over the past forty-four years, Livermore Cyclery would never have been such a magical place," owners Steve and Melinda Howard said in a statement on their website.
The Howards are retiring, but bikers can still shop for gear locally and have bikes of all makes serviced when Trek Bicycle takes over in the coming weeks, Trek spokesperson Eric Bjorling said. Trek Bicycle and Livermore Cyclery have long had a relationship, and customers will be left in good hands, the Howards wrote.

"They will take what we've created here and build on it, while continuing to service all brands of bikes and sticking to the same core principles of treating people like family and delivering outstanding customer service," the Howards wrote.
Much of Livermore Cyclery's merchandise was from Trek Bicycle, Bjorling said. Customers shouldn't notice much of a difference to the stores.
