Livermore Downs Park and Pickleball Courts Ribbon Cutting

While resurfacing the basketball court the fencing was replaced creating one full basketball court and four (4) new pickleball courts.

From LARPD: The Livermore Area Recreation and Park District will be hosting a Grand Re-Opening of Livermore Downs Park with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. This 4.5-acre neighborhood park includes a tot lot, new pickleball courts, basketball court and a sports field. Renovations to the Livermore Downs Park began in spring of 2017; renovations included a total irrigation system update, repaving of the pedestrian walk track, sealing and striping the parking lot, modernizing to drought tolerant landscaping, turf renovation, resurfacing the basketball court and updating and replacing information signs. While resurfacing the basketball court the fencing was replaced creating one full basketball court and four (4) new pickleball courts.

Livermore Downs Park has been LARPD-owned and maintained since opening in 1986. The Livermore Area Recreation and Park District provides parks, recreation programs, recreation facilities and open space for a 243.5-square mile area of east Alameda County, including Livermore. The LARPD Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) division leads the development and implantation of the District’s Capital Improvement Projects, and funded the renovations to Livermore Downs Park. Every year, the Livermore Area Recreation and Park District adopts a three year Capital Improvement Budget, known as the CIP budget. Separate from the general Livermore Area Recreation and Park District’s budget. The CIP budget funds public infrastructure projects, including facility construction and renovation, park and trail development, and open space projects.
