Livermore Lavender: Photo Of The Day
The lavender bushes are in full bloom in Livermore following a rainy winter.
LIVERMORE, CA — The superbloom this year is so intense in California that it can be seen from space. One of the colors in this stunning kaleidoscope is purple from fields of lavender. Aside from our eyes and noses, one of the main beneficiaries of this bloom are honey bees, who flock to the plants for their nectar.
Joan Houston, the owner of Livermore's raw honey company Dripz Honey & Waxworks, shared some photos of the bees enjoying this purple spring. Thank you, Joan!
