Livermore Man Arrested On Gun, Drug Charges

Police say a convicted felon driving on a suspended license had a gun and drug paraphernalia in his car.

LIVERMORE, CA - Livermore police arrested a convicted felon for possessing a firearm and drug paraphernalia.

On Wednesday, July 26 at around 1 a.m., officers stopped a car for several vehicle code violations, including expired registration, on Airway Boulevard near Clubhouse Drive. Police say the driver, 59-year-old Michael Silva of Livermore, was a convicted felon driving on a license suspended for a DUI.

Police searched Silva’s car and found a .45 caliber firearm and drug paraphernalia. Silva was arrested on suspicion of several charges, including being a felon in possession of a firearm, and carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle.
