Livermore Man Dies In Rollover Crash: LPD

LIVERMORE, CA — A 39-year-old man from Livermore died on Sunday in a rollover crash on Airway Boulevard, police said.

Officers arrived to find the driver of a Toyota Yaris suffering from significant injuries. He was pronounced dead-on-the-scene.

Early investigations show that the driver lost control of his car and rolled over several times. Police are awaiting toxicology reports to see if speed and/or drugs and alcohol were a factor.

Airway Boulevard was closed between Rutan Drive and Sutter Street for several hours Sunday. Authorities are notifying his next-of-kin.

Livermore has seen several fatal traffic accidents in recent months. In November, a man died when his car veered off an embankment near the North Flynn Road exit of I-580. A week earlier on Thanksgiving Day, a woman died near the intersection of Altamont Pass and Northfront roads after a car veered over double lines into the next lane and hit an oncoming car.
