Livermore Man Driving 90 MPH Dies In I-580 Off-Ramp Crash
A 45-year-old Livermore man trying to pass another car flew off an off-ramp and overturned multiple times Tuesday, CHP said.

LIVERMORE, CA — A 45-year-old Livermore man was killed in a solo overturn crash on a westbound I-580 off-ramp in Livermore Tuesday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
At around 8:42 p.m., CHP officers arrived to find a convertible 2003 Audi A4 on a grass field just south of the Isabel Avenue off-ramp, according to a department news release. An on-scene investigation determined that the driver was traveling at speeds of roughly 90 mph before exiting. Authorities said the Audi made an "aggressive" maneuver to pass a slower-moving Honda on the off-ramp, and in so doing lost control of the car. The Audi then launched off the off-ramp and overturned multiple times down the south side embankment.
The driver of the Honda stopped at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
