Livermore Man Hit By Car After Spinning Out: CHP

LIVERMORE, CA — A Livermore man sustained major injuries after he was hit by a car early Monday morning in Livermore, according to the California Highway Patrol.

At about 1:40 a.m. Monday, a 26-year-old man from Livermore was traveling eastbound in a Toyota Camry along Stanley Boulevard in Livermore, about a mile west of Isabel Avenue. Due to the heavy rain, his car spun out in the westbound lanes. The car stopped, and he exited and stood near the driver’s side door area.

Minutes later, a 20-year-old from Pleasanton was driving on westbound Stanley Boulevard, and collided into the driver’s side of the Camry. The Camry driver suffered major injuries.

Alcohol does not seem to be a factor in the accident, CHP Officer Tyler Hahn told Patch.

Authorities recommend avoiding driving in heavy rains, and if driving is necessary, traveling slowly.
