Livermore Police Car Seat Checks Protect Young Lives
The police department has offered this free service for 20 years. Parents do not need to be Livermore residents to participate.

LIVERMORE, CA: More than 32 little lives are safer while riding in the car thanks to a car seat check courtesy of Livermore Police officials.
Officer Traci Rebiejo says the police department has offered the free service to caregivers and parents each month for almost 20 years.
“The goal is to help parents feel competent installing their car seats,” Rebiejo told Patch. “About 95 percent of all car seats are not properly installed, making them about 50 percent effective.”
Caregivers or parents do not need to be Livermore residents to participate but those interested in having their seats checked must make an appointment by phone or email ahead of time. Call Rebiejo at 925-371-4858 or email TRebiejo@cityoflivermore.net for more information.
