In a story posted online, the Mercury News reports that it interviewed the girl last weekend. She told the newspaper that she began selling her body on the streets of Richmond when she was 12. She progressed to having a pimp and being a prostitute in Oakland.

Whether any of the police officers or deputies paid for sex with the girl has not been disclosed.

She also shared a text message with the newspaper that purports to show a police officer tipping her off about an undercover operation that was taking place.
