Livermore Police Seize Heroin, Meth, Ammo, Pot During Traffic Stop

LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore police seized methamphetamine, heroin, ammunition, and marijuana during a traffic stop Friday afternoon, the LPD reported.

On Friday at around 4:30, Livermore police stopped a white Ford F250 for traffic violations at the intersection of First and Inman streets. Police say that the driver’s license was suspended for a prior DUI conviction.

After K9 Max smelled narcotics, Livermore police say they searched the trunk and found approximately one pound of methamphetamine, 34 grams of heroin, a half pound of marijuana, and ammunition.

The 58-year-old driver was arrested and charged with possession and transportation of a controlled substance, possession and transportation of narcotics, possession and transportation of marijuana (which is illegal to have in the car in California if it is not sealed shut), possession of ammunition, and driving on a suspended license. His car was impounded.
