Livermore Police Uncover 8 Ounces Of Meth, $1,595 In Cash

LIVERMORE, CA — A 52-year-old Livermore woman was arrested after police found roughly eight ounces of methamphetamine in her possession, the Livermore Police Department announced.

Police said that the woman, who was not named, reportedly had enough meth to keep her continuously high for 749 days straight. Police also found two digital scales, $1,595 in cash, and a large amount of small unused plastic bags.

The woman was arrested on several charges and booked into Santa Rita Jail, police said.

Methamphetamine distribution is a consistent problem around Northern California. In November, federal drug agents raided a San Jose stash house reportedly containing 588 pounds of methamphetamine. The raid was part of a larger series of seizures that uncovered 650 pounds, the East Bay Times reported.
