Livermore Police Warn Public Of New Crime Trend
People have been accessing homes through garage door openers in unlocked cars, police said.
LIVERMORE, CA — The Livermore Police Department is reminding the public to keep their car doors locked after a string of crimes in which people have broken into unlocked cars, then used garage door openers to enter the dwelling steal items inside.
The public is urged to remove their items from cars, ensure security cameras are working and consider installing motion-activated lights designed to ward off potential criminals.
