Livermore Valley Winegrowers Association Reflects On 2018

And congrats to the newly installed 2019-2020 Board of Directors!

LIVERMORE, CA – At its recent annual meeting, the Livermore Valley Winegrowers Association members recognized contributions and looked back on the achievements of 2018, including the introduction of Wine & Wags, a new annual event for wine lovers and their dogs, and other marketing efforts.

The LVWA also announced the launch of its refreshed logo and website and plans for a delegation of winery proprietors and winemakers to visit with national media in New York.

Led by Executive Director Chris Chandler, the LVWA presented the following member awards to recognize exemplary partnership and support:

  • Winery Member of the Year: Longevity Wines (accepted by Phil Long, owner/winemaker)
  • Community Partner of the Year: City of Livermore (accepted by Mayor John Marchand)
  • Affiliate Member of the Year: Black Tie Transportation (accepted by Bill Wheeler, president)

Livermore Mayor John Marchand also installed the LVWA 2019-2020 Board of Directors. Alexandra Henkelman, owner and winemaker at Omega Road Winery, will serve as president of the board.
