LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore officials and builders celebrated the opening of the I Street Parking Garage with a ribbon cutting and procession of cars Thursday morning.

The new garage, located at 175 North I Street, offers 274 parking spaces and connects to the existing 500-space garage near the intersection of Livermore and Railroad avenues.

It offers seven handicap-accessible parking spaces and 12 electric vehicle charging spaces across 3.5 levels. It also offers secure bike lockers, and new technology displaying real-time parking availability. Soon, a mobile app will tell how many spaces are open at the garage.
