Livermore Wine Country Featured On Popular Television Show
The Today Show recommended Livermore's Purple Orchid Wine Country Resort and the city's fun and affordable wine tasting.
LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore, which is home to not only the world's longest lasting light bulb but also some of the state's oldest wineries, is known for its luscious vineyards, breweries and unique restaurants. The city was recently recommended on the Today Show for vacationers seeking relaxation and affordable wine tasting.
"The original wine country" was one of four destinations mentioned as part of a feature on the show celebrating “National Plan for Vacation Day.” The Purple Orchid Resort and Spa got a nod as the place to stay when vacationing in Livermore.
Other vacation destinations mentioned included Greystone Inn in North Carolina, Alberta, Canada and Croatia. Jan. 29 was National Plan for Vacation Day. The label was created to encourage people to stop procrastinating and get their rest and relaxation time scheduled. Watch the full feature here.
