Livermore Wineries Dominate At SF Chronicle Wine Competition

LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore wineries won a record 239 medals at the 2026 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. Eight wineries from the Livermore Valley Wine Community were awarded Best of Class, while another 30 won Double Gold.

Livermore wineries are received 86 Gold Medals, 95 Silver Medals, and 20 Bronze Medals.

“Earning a record 239 awards, including eight ‘Best in Class’, at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition is an extraordinary honor for the Livermore Valley wine region and a powerful testament to the talent, passion and collaborative spirit of our winemaking community,” said Brandi Lombardi, Livermore Valley Wine Community executive director. “This achievement highlights the dedication to elevating the quality wines and craftsmanship of our winemakers and we hope these awards continue to inspire wine lovers from the Bay Area and beyond to visit and experience our award-winning wines.”

4. Concannon Vineyard 2024 Livermore Valley Chardonnay (Category: Chardonnay - $35.00 - $37.99)
5. Garre Vineyard and Winery 2024 Livermore Valley Rose (Category: Dry/Sweet Rose - 1.00 & Over RS)
6. Las Positas Vineyards 2023 Livermore Valley Tempranillo (Category: Tempranillo - $40.00 & Over)
