Livermore Valley Wineries Have Started Reopening
Livermore Valley wineries were cleared to begin reopening Friday, and offer outdoor tastings and meal service.
LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore Valley wineries began opening last weekend, though the wine country experience is looking a bit different during the coronavirus pandemic.
Anyone looking to stop by for a tasting must make a reservation in advance, according to a news release from the Livermore Valley Winegrowers Association. Tastings will be held outdoors and must be accompanied by meals.
Some wineries may use their own kitchens or opt to partner with a food truck, the association said.

“Our local wine community is thrilled to be able to welcome guests back to Livermore Valley Wine Country, just in time to toast the beginning of summer,” said Chris Chandler, executive director of the association, in the news release. “We’ve missed everyone and know we can all work together to stay safe and healthy.”
While favorites such as Wente Vineyards and Concannon Vineyards have opted to remain closed in the mean time, Wood Family Vineyards partnered with the Double Barrel BBQ food truck and opened to its first round of guests this weekend.
