Livermore Wines Win 168 Medals In Chronicle Competition

LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore Valley vineyards made the grade in the 2022 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. This year, the Chronicle evaluated 5,816 wines from nearly 1,000 different wineries.

Livermore wineries won a total of 168 medals, according to a report from the Livermore Valley Wine Country association. Livermore won:

• 9 Best of Class
• 11 double gold
• 37 gold
• 89 silver
• 22 bronze

The nine Best of Class were awarded to:

2. Las Positas 2021 Livermore Valley Estate Verdelho
3. Wood Family Vineyards 2021 Livermore Valley "Pink Pearl" Rosé Wine of Grenache
4. Garre 2018 Livermore Valley Sangiovese
5. Las Positas 2019 Livermore Valley Estate Barbera
6. Darcie Kent Vineyards 2018 Livermore Valley Tesla Neighbors Cabernet Sauvignon
7. Retzlaff 2016 Livermore Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
8. Darcie Kent 2017 San Francisco Bay Firepit Red
9. Page Mill Winery 2019 Livermore Valley
