Man Charged With Campus Shooting Threat Could Change Plea: Report
A man arrested in Livermore who pleaded not guilty to threatening a shooting is slated for a change of plea hearing, AP reported.
COLUMBUS, OHIO — A man arrested in Livermore and charged with threatening a shooting at Ohio State University is scheduled for a change of plea hearing, The Associated Press reported.
Daniel Rippy previously pleaded not guilty, AP reported.
East Bay Times reported Rippy is charged with sending Ohio State the following in an electronic message: “Your school is going to get shot the f— up and I’m seriously going to hurt the students and all the players from the football team.”

The threat was made electronically during a 2018 game between Ohio State and the University of Michigan in which Ohio State prevailed 62-39, East Bay Times reported.
Rippy was arrested in Livermore on Dec. 28, extradited to Ohio, released on bond, then arrested again in California after failing to comply with court requirements and taken back to Ohio, AP reported.
