May Nissen Park Reopens To Livermore Residents

The park features a newly renovated playground, plus a dog park, swimming area and more. It reopened to the public Wednesday.

LIVERMORE, CA — With towering daisy art, a larger-than-life xylophone, brand new jungle gym and more, the May Nissen Park has reopened to the public.

Construction on the playground began last fall and the facility reopened Wednesday afternoon at a 2 p.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony, according to the Livermore Area Recreation and Park District. The fairytale-themed park now features new play pavement, a shaded seating area, adult exercise equipment, swings and a play structure for kids ages two to five, according to the playground's conceptual plan. There are places to climb, spin, act and get cozy.

Visit May Nissen Park at 685 Rincon Ave.
