Meth, Loaded Revolver Found In Livermore Car: Cops

LIVERMORE, CA — A 49-year-old Hayward man was arrested in Livermore on charges of possessing methamphetamine and possessing a controlled substance while armed, Livermore police said.

On Wednesday night, Livermore officers saw a vehicle with an expired registration in a parking lot on Portola Avenue, the department said. Police say the driver allowed them to search his car, where they reportedly founded a loaded revolver and 10 grams of methamphetamine.

The driver, Macedonia Chavez of Hayward, was arrested on numerous drugs and firearm charges and taken to Santa Rita Jail.
