Mobile Mammography Offered At San Francisco Premium Outlets

LIVERMORE, CA — Mobile mammography will be available to outlet mall shoppers in Livermore this weekend. The San Francisco Premium Outlets' National Breast Cancer Awareness Month event is part of the “More Than Pink” campaign through Susan G. Komen. The screening and education event is scheduled on October 29 between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.

“Shoppers who have health insurance, Medicare or MediCal are encouraged to bring their health card,” outlet representatives said. “With these programs for women age 40 or over, there is no deductible, no co-payment, and no cost to them. Kaiser members are not included at this time.”

Outlet representatives said woman without insurance may qualify for a free mammogram through the Every Woman Counts program. Woman can enroll for Every Woman Counts on site the day of the mammogram. The outlet mall is also offering $10 discount cards that give shoppers discounts at participating retailers. Susan G. Komen Visa Simon Gift Cards will also benefit Susan G. Komen.

To book a mammogram appointment ahead of time, shoppers can schedule online or call 800-344-6822 with questions. The San Francisco Premium Outlets are located at 2774 Livermore Outlets Dr. in Livermore.
