New 'FastPass' Speeds Up Enrollment At Las Positas College
Completing enrollment for fall can be accomplished in one to two days, compared to traditional method that can take two or three weeks.

LIVERMORE, CA – Students interested in attending Las Positas College in the fall can complete their enrollment applications during a "FastPass" event that will run from April 30 through May 3.
"Under normal circumstances the entire registration process can take two to three weeks," said Mike Alvarez, LPC outreach specialist. "The FastPass event was created to help expedite the process, which potential students can complete in one to two days."
FastPass will provide enrolling students assistance with completing the college's admissions application, online orientation, financial aid application and course registration. Students also can complete assessment testing in English and math, and meet with someone who can assist them in setting up their educational plans.
Alvarez said that students who submit admission applications and complete the online orientation could potentially complete the assessment testing, program planning and registration process in one day. Students who want to complete all five steps - application, orientation, testing, planning and registration onsite can finish the process in two days or spread everything out over the course of the four-day event.
The FastPass event will be located in Las Positas College's Student Services and Administration office in Building 1600 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. between Monday, April 30 and Thursday, May 3. Sessions are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
For questions and additional information, contact Mike Alvarez at malvarez@laspositascollege.edu or 925-424-1407. Students requiring testing accommodations should call the Disability Resource Center at 925-424-1510.
