A New Holiday Tradition is Born!
Concannon Vineyard and the Livermore Wine Trolley announce a Holiday tour & tasting experience unlike any other.

This December, Concannon Vineyard and the Livermore Wine Trolley are teaming up to bring a brand new tradition to Livermore Wine Country. The Lights of Livermore Holiday Tour will be a unique experience that combines delicious wine and a magical ride to Livermore’s most dazzling displays.
This event, which takes place each Friday and Saturday leading up to Christmas, will begin with a 1-hour private wine tasting that includes light appetizers, seasonal sweets and, of course, Concannon Vineyard’s famous and award-winning wines. Guests will be given a keepsake GoVino glass to remember the experience, and bottles of wine purchased to-go will be offered at a special discount. After the wine reception, guests will board the Livermore Wine Trolley and be whisked away on a tour of the most spectacular holiday displays Livermore has to offer.
“The tour will showcase the holiday spirit that shines bright in the Livermore community,” says Brian Luke, owner of the Livermore Wine Trolley. “We’re proud to provide an experience where friends, families and loved ones can gather together and bask in the spirit of the holidays.”

Although the event is limited to participants of ages 21 and older, the team decided to offer a special Family Night on Sunday, December 21st so that the kids wouldn’t be left out. Parents who wish to bring their children to Family Night will be able to purchase discounted tickets for guests under 21 years of age. Don’t worry--Concannon Vineyard plans to serve child-friendly goodies that night, like hot cocoa and holiday sweets.
“131 years ago, our family celebrated their first Christmas in America, bringing with them many holiday traditions that are still honored today,” said John Concannon, 4th Generation Vintner of Concannon Vineyard, whose great-grandfather James was the first Irish-American immigrant to establish a winery in 1883. “This holiday season, we are excited to begin a new tradition shared with the families of our local community.”

“Our hope is that this new tradition that will find a permanent place in the hearts of Bay Area residents,” Brian added.
It looks as though Brian and the Concannon hospitality team have already achieved that goal. Posted less than a week ago, the Facebook announcement of the event has since gone viral, reaching well over 25,000 people and receiving hundreds of shares and comments like “We need to do this” and “Looking forward to going!”. Meanwhile, the first round of tours has already filled up, and the team has decided to add another time slot to each day to accommodate the event’s immense popularity. Even so, the second wave is well on its way to being sold out*, so the team recommends making your ticket purchase as soon as possible.
