'Newsies' Musical Premieres At Bankhead Theatre
The Tri-Valley Repertory will perform the Tony Award-winning musical about a newsboy strike in turn-of-the-century New York City.
LIVERMORE, CA — The “kings of New York” are coming to Livermore.
On Saturday, the Tri-Valley Repertory Theatre will host its first performance of “Newsies,” the Broadway musical based on the Disney movie, at Livermore’s Bankhead Theatre.
The Tony Award-winning musical tells the story of a group of newsboys in turn-of-the-century New York (a relic of a time before Patch), who lead a strike for better working conditions against the powerful Joseph Pulitzer.
