LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore will host a No Kings Protest Saturday at Portola Park, organizers announced. This marks the second time Livermore has hosted a No Kings protest, and the fifth protest in the Tri-Valley. The last No Kings protest in October attracted 3,500 participants, though organizers say they anticipate many more on Saturday.

The rally will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Portola Park at Portola and North Livermore avenues. Speakers will include Faith Alpher, an author, comedian, and DJ; and Michael Mosby, a business coach and interim executive director of Quest Science Center. Several nonprofits will be on-site offering activist resources, including Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Livermore Advocates for Public Education, NAMI Tri-Valley, Moms Demand Action, SwingLeft Tri-Valley, and Tri-Valley Haven Food Pantry.

More than 3,000 No Kings events are scheduled across the country, nearly 1,000 more since the first protests, according to a new release. In the East Bay, events are planned in Concord, Pleasant Hill, Lafayette, Oakland, San Leandro, Berkeley, Hayward, Albany, and Alameda.
