Man Shot Dead In Livermore Identified
Juan Manuel Elias, 31, was shot several times in the upper torso and died at the scene in the 2700 block of Las Positas Road.
LIVERMORE, CA —A man who was fatally shot in Livermore early Wednesday morning has been identified by police as 31-year-old Juan Manuel Elias. Elias was shot multiple times in his upper torso in the 2700 block of Las Positas Road at about 4 a.m. Wednesday and was pronounced dead at the scene, Livermore police Sgt. Steve Goard said.
The shooting stemmed from an argument between Elias and John Inocencio, 30, who was arrested in Elk Grove in Sacramento County at about 1:45 p.m. Wednesday after authorities issued a statewide alert for him, according to Goard.
Officers with the Elk Grove Police Department made the arrest.

Elias and Inocencio knew each other and were both Livermore transients living in a creek area near where the shooting occurred, Goard said.
Inocencio is being held at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin without bail and tentatively is scheduled to be arraigned in Alameda County Superior Court in Dublin at 2 p.m. Friday.
