Open Heart Kitchen Opens Vineyard Resource Center
The new center provides amenities like mail, meeting space, a community room, a dining room, and shelter beds.

LIVERMORE, CA — Open Heart Kitchen and the Housing Consortium of the East Bay have joined forces to open the Vineyard Resource Center, which will provide shelter beds and permanent-supportive services to people living in supportive apartments. The Resource Center will include Open Heart’s main production kitchen and dining room, a laundry room with machines, showers, a clothing closet, mail services, a community room with free wifi, and meeting rooms for local service providers and clients.
“The Housing Consortium of the East Bay’s Vineyard development is bringing more than just housing to Livermore,” James Vossoughi, Executive Director, Chase Community Development Banking, said in a statement. “We are proud to fund a project that will support the community and its residents for the long term, with the addition of supportive services, healthy food and community space.”
“The services at Vineyard will link people to resources in their community so they can eventually succeed and move on to more independent living,” said Darin Lounds, HCEB executive director.
