Computer Service Technician / Field Network Technician
Livermore company is looking for an experienced Network Technician with a solid background in computer repair, server management, hardware & software installation and excellent customer service skills. Successful candidates must have the ability to work independently within an existing team of network professionals providing excellent service to new and existing clients using LAN, WAN, and VPN technologies.
All candidates must have a well groomed appearance, valid CA driver’s license, current proof of insurance, reliable personal transportation, and be willing to travel within the Bay Area.
Essential Duties:
On-site computer / network / peripherals trouble shooting for Windows-based PCs
Network installation and maintenance (wired, wireless, LAN, WAN)
Virus and Spyware / Malware removal
PC / Network security enhancement
Custom build / Desktops, Laptops and Servers
Hardware and software fault isolation and repair
Software upgrades and installation
Peripheral installation and support
Minimum Qualifications:
Two (2) years demonstrated experience with server / desktop skills, installing and configuring Microsoft clients in a real time environment, as well as any experience with Windows 2003 – 2012 server and current PC OS’s (Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8). Any Terminal Server and Exchange Server experience is a plus. Must have a good understanding of Active Directory and Network Concepts is a plus. Must be very knowledgeable with Microsoft products, including but not limited to Office.

We will conduct a quick test to establish skill sets and communication skills.
This is a part-time, hourly position. We are looking for a candidate who is flexible with days and hours and would prefer local, Bay Area candidates.
