Parent Worried About 'Unsafe Driving' At School: Letter To Editor
A Livermore parent said she is "concerned this ongoing issue will never end resulting in the loss of life."
Dear Editor,
I think an article needs to be published about the unsafe driving that happens around our schools. I am seeing daily, illegal driving and parking, making a blind spot for our children in crosswalks. I do not want a child to get hit by a car or killed by the stupidity of a driver. I don’t want it to be too late for my kids or any other kid.
Just a few months ago, I saw a bike rider get hit by a car in front of Mendenhall Middle School because a driver was speeding and took a corner too fast. This morning at Sunset Elementary, a driver passed 10-15 cars, including me, on the wrong side of the road to cut off them and five others in cross traffic at a crosswalk without stopping. This has to end!

Maybe if more info and evidence of people doing this gets out, we can decrease these incidents!
