PATELCO HIRES COMMUNITY OUTREACH MANAGER TO FOCUS ON FINANCIAL EDUCATION

PLEASANTON, Calif. – December 23, 2014 – Patelco Credit Union, one of California’s largest credit unions with more than $4 billion in assets, announced today the hiring of Nicole Lopez-Conti to serve as its first- Community Outreach Manager. Lopez-Conti will build strategic partnerships with top Bay Area community and financial literacy experts to develop industry-leading financial educational programs for “under-banked” residents in Northern California.

“Financial education within the communities we serve is an area of focus in the coming years and Nicole’s financial background is ideal for leading that charge,” said President and CEO Erin Mendez. “We’re excited to build upon our success as a community partner and offer enhanced programs that help local residents at all ages and stages of life take control of their personal finances.”

Lopez-Conti joins Patelco with more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. Previous to this position, Lopez-Conti led both the communications and public relations for RPM Mortgage, Inc. In addition to her financial experience, Lopez-Conti has a passion for community service and has, for the past two decades, volunteered her time to support at-risk youth and foster teens in the Bay Area. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Patten University in Oakland, Calif., and earned her Masters of Arts degree in Communication and Leadership from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash.
