Livermore Home Invasion Robbery: 1 Arrested Following Standoff
Police said they tried to use negotiations tactics and chemical weapons to get the suspect to leave the building.

LIVERMORE, CA — At least one suspect has been arrested in Livermore this afternoon following a home invasion robbery and standoff, police said. The robbery was reported in the area of Wagoner Drive and Coronado Way before 1 p.m. Police asked residents to avoid the area while the SWAT team and crisis negotiators worked toward a "peaceful resolution."
The suspect held officers at bay for several hours and police said they tried to use negotiations tactics and chemical weapons to force the suspect to leave the building. Eventually, SWAT team officers and a police canine went into the home and arrested the suspect, whose name has not been released. No other information is available.
