Popular Gift Shop Closing In Downtown Livermore

LIVERMORE, CA – After 11 years, the family-owned OutSideIn etc will close its doors Jan. 31 in downtown Livermore.

Operators of the gift shop, known for its eclectic merchandise of home and garden tchotchkes, teas, greeting cards, seasonal decor, lotions, scented candles and jewelry, made the announcement Tuesday evening on the business' Facebook page.

Loyal fans responded with dismay at the pending loss of the "the cutest little store in town" and a "favorite gift buying destination."

"This is such terrible news!" one local commented. "Your store was one (of) the few places to find a reasonably priced, unique gift in a hurry. I’m sorry that Livermore is losing another of our small businesses."

According to OutSideIn owners, items are 50 percent off during a going-out-of-business sale expected to run through the end of the month at the shop at 2184 First St.
