Pranksters Add Soap To Lizzie Fountain In Livermore
A company that maintains the iconic fountain worked to clear out the substance.

LIVERMORE, CA — Earlier this month, pranksters added a detergent-like substance to Lizzie Fountain in Livermore. The suds were spotted on Dec. 6 as they spread around the base of the downtown fountain, through the park to the sidewalk.
Although the prank has been played out at the iconic fountain many times over the years, it still appears to give locals a chuckle. Video of the foaming fountain posted to a closed Facebook page showed residents stopping to soak up the sudsy sight.
A city spokesperson said the soap did not damage the fountain equipment during this particular incident. They are not sure who targeted the popular water feature. A company that maintains the iconic fountain worked to clear out the substance.
