Priest Under Investigation For Possible 'Sexual Misconduct'
Officials said the alleged incident involved a 25-year-old man.

LIVERMORE, CA — An allegation of a Livermore priest’s sexual misconduct is under investigation, police officials said. The alleged incident, which involved the priest and a 25-year-old man, occurred at St. Michael Catholic Church in Livermore on Nov. 17 and was reported to investigators by the Roman Catholic Diocese in Oakland.
Father Van Dinh, a pastor at the popular church, has been placed on administrative leave during the investigation, according to Diocese of Oakland.
"The allegation did not involve a minor, but did fall within the protocol of the Diocese for clergy conduct," the Diocese said in a statement.

Dinh, who was a chaplain in the U.S. Air Force, joined the Parish in 2014, according to their social media. Livermore police say the investigation is ongoing and no other information will be released.
