Livermore's 'Race To The Flagpole' Features 10K, 5K, 1-Mile Fun Run

LIVERMORE, CA — The Livermore-Granada Boosters is hosting its 17th annual Race to the Flagpole, a series of races that will take place this Saturday and raise money for local scholarships.

Registration will open at Independence Park at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, and the 10K race will begin at 8:45 a.m. The 5K will begin at 9 a.m., and the 1-mile Fun Run will begin at 10:15 a.m.

Click on the links for course maps. All participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt, medal, and post-race refreshments.

The top male and female finishers, as well as the top elementary, middle, and high school students for each of the three races for each of the races. The school with the most students competing will also be recognized.

The race will raise money for the Boosters Club Scholarship, which is awarded at the end of each school year to 12 student athlete from Livermore and Granada High Schools who exemplify athletic and academic excellence. Since 1958, the Boosters has awarded over $300,000 to students.
